«Standard Plus» Equipment for Polyethylene Bottle Blowing

“Standart Plus” semi-automatic equipment for blowing of PET-bottles is designed for production of PET-packages from preheated preforms.

For production of packages with capacity from 0.2 L to 2.0 L:

  1. Maximum blowing pressure up to 16 atm

Nominal output
0.5 L – up to 1, 000 bph
1.5 L – up to 800 bph
2.0 L – up to 700 bph

  1. Maximum blowing pressure up to 25 atm

Nominal output
0.5 L – up to 1,200 bph
1.5 L – up to 1,000 bph

For production of packages with capacity from 0.2 L to 2.0 L:

The process of PET-packages blowing consists of 5 principal stages.

 
Stages

1.Preform heating and simultaneous cooling of the mouth for avoidance of neck deformation.
2.The heated preform is placed manually by the mouth into the press mold.
3. Press mold clamping.
4.Stretching of the preform by a rod with simultaneous preblowing and subsequent blowing. Cooling of preform walls for stabilization of the bottle shape.
5.Opening of the press mold, the finished plastic bottle is unloaded manually.

The delivery set includes:

  • furnace for preform heating;
  • press for PET-packages blowing.

Advantages of the “Standart Plus” machine as compared with analogs.

Furnace for preform heating

  1. Original design of preform rotary group
    • provides true-vertical rotation of preforms (equidistance of surface of preforms from heat source) and, as a consequence, uniform heating over the entire capacity of the preform;
    • provides for avoidance of excessive chain tension and extends the service life;
    • the mechanism does not contain wearing parts, except rolling bearings.
  2. The furnace construction provides for constant rotation of the preform along the whole walkway in the tunnel.
  3. Preform heating is performed by means of radiant flux, which provides for uniform heating of the preform along the full width.
  4. Halogen heating lamps of the furnace have adjustment features.
  5. Reflecting elements made of polished stainless steel provide for long service life.
  6. It is possible to use preforms with different mouths (it is necessary only to change heads, which are particular for each type of preforms – there are 32 heads).
  7. Electronic control of operating modes of the furnace makes it possible to select the required output. Smooth start of preform heating, smooth motion start of rotating mechanism and continuous adjustments – all this extends service life of the engine and heating lamps.
  8. Minimum electrical energy consumption.

Press for PET-packages blowing.

  1. Original design of the lock
    • provides for minimum dimensions of the device with relatively large opening of the press mold and blowing of bottles of up to 8 L;
    • makes it possible to avoid wear of fingers and minimize their damage;
    • with minimum dimensions provides for adequate strength when blowing 25 atm;
    • compensates inaccuracies of fabrication of press molds;
    • compensates maladjustments;
    • provides for stable mounting of the lock in the thrust;
    • maintainability – it is necessary to replace only bearings.
  2. Kinematic scheme and pneumatic circuit of the press make it possible to attain a top speed (as a rule, when working with bottles with capacity up to 1.5 L operating speed of the press is limited only by operator’s actions).
  3. Use of roll supports, which compensate the weight of the press mold.
  4. Rods stretching the preform by ball hanging are subject to minimum wear, and have bottle length adjustment. Stroke is regulated by supports, which makes it possible to do without replacement of drawing rollers and rods.
  5. Flow of compressed air incoming at a characteristic angle into the press clamp and also increased diameters of airlines allow avoiding speed loss of compressed air while blowing.
  6. Electronic control of the blowing process is performed in a fully automatic mode by means of custom-designed microprocessor controller with self-test system.
  7. Center adjustments of this press allow for using press molds of different designs and manufacturers.
  8. Simple design of the press makes replacement of press molds and maintenance of the press easy and fast.
  9. Minimum compressed air consumption per one cycle.
