It’s Interesting!Application of Polyethylene terephthalate in the Manufacture of BottlesPolyethyleneterephthalate (also called as terylene) of which PET-bottles are produced is solid bead polymer. The molecular mass of industrial polymer is from 20,000 to 40,000. On rapid cooling of polyethyleneterephthalate melt to room temperature glass-like amorphous polymer forms crystallizing at temperature over 80 °Ñ. As temperature processing conditions of polyethyleneterephthalate are in the temperature range from 100 to 200 °Ñ, polyethyleneterephthalate products are characterized by various degrees of crystallinity. Process of Manufacturing (Blowing) of a PET-bottleThe starting materials for PET bottles are PET preforms. PET preforms are produced by the method of press molding of bead polymer – polyethyleneterephthalate. The color and transparency of the future bottle is established when preforms are being made of beads. Equipment for Filling into PET-packagesFilling equipment is designed for packaging of food liquors (drinking, carbonated and mineral water, beer, kvass, tea, low alcohol drinks, milk, kefir, yoghurts, vegetable oil, ketchups, juices, etc), and also inedible liquids (shampoos, gels, soft soap, cleansers, fuels and lubricants, bleaching agents, etc) into PET-packages and for capping of these items. The filling equipment is built into filling lines for various liquids. Carbonation of BeveragesCarbonated beverages have refreshing properties. They are nice to the taste and quench thirst quickly. They are noted for their so-called “sparkling” properties – intensive and continuous bubbling. Carbonated beverages fully display their refreshing and flavor properties, when they are cooled down to the temperature of 10—12°Ñ. These drinks have won popularity a long time ago, and they are in great demand on the modern food market. Labels for PET-bottles. Labeling of ProductsA label is a tag placed on a product with information about its name, manufacturer, production date, shelf life, product mass, product composition and other accurate information. But along with this purely informative task a label should serve as advertising. It should show the product to advantage, distinguish it among equivalents, which are nearby on the store shelf. Assistance in commodity sale is becoming nowadays one of the most important tasks of the label in circumstances where market competition is tough. Thereby the manufacturer is inevitably faced with the dilemma: on the one hand, the label should showcase the goods as a high quality product, on the other hand, it should be inexpensive. |
